Campus and COVID–19 Thank you all for your cooperation with social distancing protocols. Please continue to limit extended interactions with ALERT Staff in the office as well as no home invitations for ALERT Staff or Battalion. We plan to reevaluate our status next week.
|
| Daily Staff Prayer List With noon Staff Prayer times being postponed for the present, we will be posting Campus Prayer Requests online. This link will be updated daily by 11 AM, so thank you for continuing to pray although we cannot gather together as usual. If you have prayer requests you would like to add, please email Bethany at bvanderford@iblp.org. |
| Mail Room Notice Due to potential risks as a result of COVID 19, all incoming mail and packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx & other) will not be sorted and delivered until 5 pm Monday-Friday. We appreciate your understanding and complying with this notice until further details and information is provided.

| EMT Scenarios The EMT's Scenario Day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6. If you're interested in participating, please contact Lt. Kaiser or Michael Luke at EMToffice@alertacademy.com. |
| Conference Update The inevitable has come. We have decided to cancel the April Big Sandy Family Conference. We are considering offering an alternative online event, but it would likely be five prerecorded messages that would play as a live stream for each evening of the conference. Please keep each of the families and speakers in prayer. |
| Battalion Update This week has brought many rapid changes to the battalion's way of life but everyone is doing a good job adjusting to the new way of doing things. 2 EMT students did decide it was their best course of action to return home for now. The rest of the battalion is continuing on with training. For the sake of keeping the men isolated, we have cancelled two deployments we had planned to do this week. Thank you for your prayers and support even though we are not able to see each other during this time.
Basic Training: As we clean up and put things away until September, please let us know if you find anything out of place or that needs the Basic Training Staff attention. There will be a few men in Cadre who will be staying on to help us with updates and renovations of our Basic Training buildings. |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Change is hard. Not because it's bad but because it's different, and different is hard. As we adjust to our "new normal" for the foreseeable future, let's remember... Today. We only get it once. Why waste it? We can spend it in fear, or we can create a possibility for the next person. We can spend it alone, or we can create a digital but real connection with someone else. It only takes a day to make change happen. The ocean is made of drops.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Matthew 6:34
