Studio Audience Request
We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider joining us March 30 – April 1 as a live studio audience during a special filming project of a new seminar that we are developing. This course is inspired by a series of lectures presented fifty+ years ago (the Basic Seminar); the messages will take a fresh look at similar topics but expand on their Biblical basis and incorporate current-day scenarios. A number of people will be presenting these truths and we would love to have a live studio audience to help create a more natural platform for our speakers. We hope that you can join us and that the "pre-release" content of this series will be an encouragement to you. For more information or to sign up, please visit here or call Sophia at ext. 2151.
NCFCA Judges Needed Today
NCFCA is looking for community judges for the upcoming qualifier. If they don't have enough judges signed up by tomorrow, March 23, they will be moving the tournament online. While judging for NCFCA is on a volunteer basis, we would love to have as many judges for them as possible. Please spread the word and share with your church family!

You can sign up for judging slots here. (Select "In Person" on the top bar and scroll down to "Big Sandy, TX Qualifier.)
Singspiration this Sunday
There will be a Singspiration and SOWER Reunion fellowship this Sunday, March 28 at 6:00 PM in the Auditorium. If you have special music you'd like to share, please contact Capt. Vanderford. The SOWERs are providing ice cream and brownies for the fellowship afterward so we hope you can join us!
Woodshop Reset | Capt. Overby
We are working on reclaiming the woodshop and cleaning it up so it is being properly maintained, and more usable for our daily work. If you have any projects or personal items in the woodshop, please claim them and have them removed from the woodshop by Wednesday, March 24, 2021. After that date, we will be cleaning the shop and disposing of or relocating any items that do not belong.

As a reminder, the rules for the woodshop have always included leaving the shop better than you found it, refraining from long-term projects that take lots of space, and keeping your projects clean, organized, and out of the way of others when you are not working on the project. Your projects should be clearly marked with your name so that there is no confusion as to who it belongs to. Also, as a reminder, permission needs to be obtained before using the woodshop or any of the facilities shops, and absolutely no tools should be removed from the woodshop in particular. The tools in the woodshop are specific to that workspace and should not be removed.

Thanks for your help in keeping these areas clean and organized.
Strong in the Basics & Bible Study Boot Camp
We have several powerfully educational courses coming up so be sure to mark your calendars and/or register if you are interested in participating. The cost for each course is $200 for staff. Classes will take place Monday–Friday, May 3–14.

Strong in the Basics is designed for students aged 13 and older. Participants will study English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, and Hymnology.

The Bible Study Bootcamp is designed for high school students and adults. Students will build a solid foundation in Bible study by learning Greek and by learning to use Bible study tools effectively to unlock the richer meaning of a passage.

Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
As we continue to move forward from one semester into the next, it's easy to look back and think about all the "grievances" that might have occurred. Instead, let's look toward the future and its "possibilities." Grievance is the narrative of getting even. Possibility focuses on the side effects that come from acting as though things are possible. Grievance looks back and possibility looks forward. Organizations and relationships that are focused on grievance care a lot about their share. About the competition. About maintaining "enough." Organizations that are focused on possibility care a lot about how big the pie is. About innovation. And about what’s next. We might be settling scores or we might be opening doors. It’s up to us.
Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
This week begins the second quarter of 2021. As we look back at the last quarter, we are all tired but also grateful for the many lessons we learned and the great experiences we enjoyed together. The courses beginning this week are EMT with 13 students, CST with 6, Flight with 5, Missions with 8, and Aquatics with 3. Missions left Sunday afternoon for a week-long rebuild project in LaGrange, TX. There are also 20 students doing Search and Recovery Dive training this week with Captain Gast, Captain Harman, and Sgt Moody. After spending a couple of months in the battalion, it is easy to let the spiritual and physical disciplines become mechanical and not really apply yourself. Please pray that as we dive into this next quarter, the men (and leaders) will keep the proper perspective about things and apply ourselves to the things that facilitate growth.
Basic Training: Arrival Day
Four days and counting! The men of Unit 64 will be arriving this coming Thursday afternoon and we will begin their Indoc Training that evening. They will spend the rest of the week and weekend preparing themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually for the adventure ahead. Please be in prayer for both the men as they travel in and the Cadre as we continue to prepare for the tasks ahead. R-Night will commence one week from today at 6:30 pm in the gym. All staff and students are encouraged to attend.
