| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Missions returned yesterday from their trip to a weeklong training camp in Central Pennsylvania by Ethnos360. EMT’s have their first test today. This point in class is often where the students realize just how hard they need to work to grasp the information well enough to pass the course and get their certification. Two of the flight students have check-rides scheduled for tomorrow, but the weather forecast doesn’t look good for flying. Please pray that God will bring good weather.

| Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden Four days and counting! The Cadre has been training hard and is actively preparing for the arrival of the men for Unit 66. This coming Thursday, the new Unit will begin its journey to becoming ALERT men. The Unit will spend three days in In-Processing preparing them for Basic and then be integrated into Basic Monday evening the 28th at 6:30 pm. Please be in prayer for us as we continue to get ready for the adventure of Basic Training.

| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Here are a few leadership principles to remind ourselves of as we lead our teams this week.
1. CHARACTER HAS CONSEQUENCES People who display greater character strengths have greater satisfaction in their relationships, greater coping skills in the workplace, higher productivity, better exercise habits, and greater resilience.
2. THE LEADER SETS THE TONE FOR THE ORGANIZATION Culture trickles down from the top. Leaders must take responsibility, recognize their impact, and adjust behavior accordingly. If I show up late to meetings or stare at my phone during presentations, I’m giving the green light on this type of behavior.
3. PEOPLE DO WHAT YOU DO REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU SAY If I say I prioritize rest and margin but don’t pursue those things myself, my team won’t believe me. But if I permit myself to take healthy breaks, they feel the freedom to do the same. People are taking cues from you.
4. THE LAW OF REPLICATION IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK Breaking replication is difficult but not impossible. Maybe you’ve been the cause of bad replication. If that’s true, own up to it. Apologize as needed, and don’t make excuses. Then change your own behavior. - Michael Hyatt
