Studio Audience Request
We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider joining us March 30 – April 1 as a live studio audience during a special filming project of a new seminar that we are developing. This course is inspired by a series of lectures presented fifty+ years ago (the Basic Seminar); the messages will take a fresh look at similar topics but expand on their Biblical basis and incorporate current-day scenarios. A number of people will be presenting these truths and we would love to have a live studio audience to help create a more natural platform for our speakers. We hope that you can join us and that the "pre-release" content of this series will be an encouragement to you. For more information or to sign up, please visit here or call Sophia at ext. 2151. |
| Updated IBLP COVID Protocols
The following ministry protocols are established as they relate to the Governor’s Executive Order from March 2, 2021, and will be in place until further notice. - Masks are not required to be worn indoors when at work, but if possible, maintain a 6-ft. distance; please be aware of some who continue to wear the mask for their own personal benefit. We should also help in every way the ALERT men to maintain their protocols, especially as new people join the battalion and Cadre soon, and the Basic Training recruits arrive.
- Staff are not required to keep record of their temperature at the start of each day but it would be a useful way to monitor your health while we know people are still contagious and to prevent going to work with a slight fever or other symptoms.
- Please stay home if you have any COVID symptoms. Staff are not required to test for COVID or receive the vaccine. If you choose not to get tested, you are recommended to self-quarantine for 10 days or 24-48 hours since your last symptom.
- Daily noon prayer times will continue to be held in the Dining Room.
- Sanitizer should be readily available in your work area. If you need a refill, please contact Housekeeping.

| ALERT Interaction Protocols
While ALERT has been able to remove many COVID restrictions through Gov. Abbott's direction, we appreciate your support as we strive to keep our students healthy and more incorporated with the staff.
Please keep in mind that students may not sit directly next to or directly across staff/families while eating. Also, if anyone in your home has been sick with any kind of illness within the last 24 hours, please do not have any close contact with the men. For any staff wishing to host men in their homes, please complete and return this form. |
| Woodshop Reset | Capt. Overby We are working on reclaiming the woodshop and cleaning it up so it is being properly maintained, and more usable for our daily work. If you have any projects or personal items in the woodshop, please claim them and have them removed from the woodshop by Wednesday, March 24, 2021. After that date, we will be cleaning the shop and disposing of or relocating any items that do not belong.
As a reminder, the rules for the woodshop have always included leaving the shop better than you found it, refraining from long-term projects that take lots of space, and keeping your projects clean, organized, and out of the way of others when you are not working on the project. Your projects should be clearly marked with your name so that there is no confusion as to who it belongs to. Also, as a reminder, permission needs to be obtained before using the woodshop or any of the facilities shops, and absolutely no tools should be removed from the woodshop in particular. The tools in the woodshop are specific to that workspace and should not be removed.
Thanks for your help in keeping these areas clean and organized. |
| NCFCA Judges Needed NCFCA is looking for community judges for the upcoming qualifier. If they don't have enough judges signed up by March 28, they will be moving the tournament online. While judging for NCFCA is on a volunteer basis, we would love to have as many judges for them as possible. Please spread the word and share with your church family!
You can sign up for judging slots here. (Select "In Person" on the top bar and scroll down to "Big Sandy, TX Qualifier.) |
| Strong in the Basics & Bible Study Boot Camp We have several powerfully educational courses coming up so be sure to mark your calendars and/or register if you are interested in participating. The cost for each course is $200 for staff. Classes will take place Monday–Friday, May 3–14.
Strong in the Basics is designed for students aged 13 and older. Participants will study English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, and Hymnology.
The Bible Study Bootcamp is designed for high school students and adults. Students will build a solid foundation in Bible study by learning Greek and by learning to use Bible study tools effectively to unlock the richer meaning of a passage. |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Everyone wins when a leader gets better. One of the best ways for us to "get better" is to make sure you're caring for yourself—making sure that we are running the ministry and the ministry isn't running us. As we move into the next semester, let's make sure we are being intentional with our balance of work vs. rest. Regular self-care helps us to be resilient and handle stress well; recognize our physical, mental, and emotional needs; and use healthy boundaries to balance our work, family, and social lives.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
This past weekend, the battalion greatly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere of the ARC with an ultimate Frisbee tournament, the snake walk, and some very encouraging messages from Ken Bevel. It was neat to see the men connecting with him on a personal level as they got to know him through the weekend. This is the last week of the quarter and consists of wrapping up some training, and final scenarios on Friday. Again, please keep the instructors and Sergeant Major in prayer as they make final preparations for the next quarter.

| Basic Training Update
Unit 64 is less than two weeks away! Cadre training started this morning with 15 men in leadership. Please be in prayer for us as we prepare to forge the next group of young men who will arrive on campus a week from Thursday.
