Staff Valentine's Banquet Staff Couples that have RSVP'd for the Valentines Banquet on Thursday, February 28 are requested to park behind the Field House and meet in the Faculty Dining Room at 6 PM for further instructions. While we will not be serving a five-course meal, the hors d'oeuvres will be hearty and filling. For staff taking advantage of childcare, please drop your children off on the south side of the gym after 5:45 PM. We're looking forward to unforgettable evening of fellowship, mystery and romance! |
| Shooting Range Closed We are grateful that the Texas Forest Service has agreed to work with the Rangers to improve our shooting range. While this work is in progress, the shooting range will be closed. Because shooting at the power lines is not a safe alternative, please refrain from target practice on campus until further notice. |
| EMT Scenario Day | Lt. Kaiser The scenarios last Tuesday went extremely well! We ended up running a total of 23 emergency calls from 7 AM to 7 PM. I greatly appreciate all of the people who helped with the event. All of our patients did a fantastic job putting on performances for the EMT's. We also had a bunch of people acting as bystanders, adding another layer of realism to the events. I specifically want to say a thank you to Blair Edwards who was in charge of logistics. Without him, this would not have gotten off the ground. His moulage work was some of the best I have seen. Moody, Wagner, and McEntire also worked tirelessly on our log team to get scenarios prepared, jump in as patients when needed, grab carryout meals for the men, and many other tasks. The day was a great success, and the EMT's learned a lot. I'm looking forward to the next scenario day which should be some time in August. Your support helps provide quality training to the men. Thank you very much!

| Staff Sale For those of you who would like to start going through your homes, the Weiss' are planning on doing another multi-family garage sale sometime this spring. Exact date and details to come. |
| Cathie's Courage Marathon Sign up this week for the 5th Cathie's Courage Marathon! If you're interested in participating, please sign up by Monday, March 4 so we can order enough shirts. |
| Journey to the Heart The Journey to the Heart office is excited to invite any staff young people to attend the Big Sandy Journeys in the spring of 2019 at no cost. We hope this invitation gives interested individuals enough time to arrange their schedules for the new year. If you would like to participate, please contact Gabe Cleator at ext. 2152 or email gcleator@iblp.org.

| Battalion Update | Maj. Boulden ERT will be taking Apologetics and basic leadership classes as they learn how to defend their faith. MRT will be heading to Panama City, FL for deployment mid week for mostly chainsaw work and tree removal. Leadership Class will be returning from their trip to Washington DC and should be arriving back on campus Wednesday evening. |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Another week of life... Another week of craziness! Another week of "Forging." As we jump from the Reunion, to finishing this semester and trying to start the next one, things can feel overwhelming at times. We may feel like the answer to combat this is to just work harder, longer, or faster. But take 15 minuets to stop and sit in silence. Breath, think, and pray. There is so much noise out there today. Everything vying for our attention. The next text. The next email. The next "emergency." Jesus knew the importance of meeting with the Father in silence—only then can we hear what the Father has to say. This slow, 15 minute video will help you take that time to stop and listen. |
