| Staff Valentine's Banquet All of our staff couples are invited to Teakwood Manor, February 28 at 6:00 PM. The legendary Teakwood Manor was home to Isador and Ida Straus, some of the wealthiest individuals aboard the RMS Titanic when it struck an iceberg and sank on April 15, 1912. The couple perished together in the icy waters after Mrs. Straus declined rescue, saying, "we've been together so long, why should we separate now?" Since their untimely death, their last will and testament has mysteriously not been discovered. One of the Straus' traveling companions aboard the Titanic did survive and the authorities now believe they may carry the most recent clues to the will's hiding place.
Join us for an unforgettable evening of delicious hors d'oeuvres, mystery, and love! Please RSVP by Friday, February 22. Childcare will be provided from 5:45-8 pm in the gym. |
| Hymn Sing The Levenduskys would like to invite each of you to their home for a hymn sing on Saturday, March 2, at 6:30 PM. Singing will last for about an hour with a brief time of fellowship afterward. Everyone is invited: staff, families, battalion, volunteers, and friends!
|
| Staff Sale For those of you who would like to start going through your homes, the Weiss' are planning on doing another multi-family garage sale sometime this spring. Exact date and details to come. |
| Cathie's Courage Marathon Registration for the 5th Cathie's Courage Marathon is now open! If you're interested in participating, please sign up by Monday, March 4 so we can order enough shirts. Share with your friends! |
| Journey to the Heart The Journey to the Heart office is excited to invite any staff young people to attend the Big Sandy Journeys in the spring of 2019 at no cost. We hope this invitation gives interested individuals enough time to arrange their schedules for the new year. If you would like to participate, please contact Gabe Cleator at ext. 2152 or email gcleator@iblp.org.

| Battalion Update | Maj. Boulden Leadership Class left this morning for their trip to Washington DC. They will be spending the week there learning about Historical Leadership and the founding of our nation. While MRT will be cleaning up from the reunion and be helping Capt. Vanderford with some local work projects, ERT will be learning additional First Aid and Field Medical Training from some of our guest instructors. |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden My Leadership tip today is simply this: say thank you. Say it often. Say is with meaning. Say it when you don't feel like it. Say it when you're tired and you feel like others should be thanking you. No one has gotten to where we are without the help of countless others. So this week, send the text, write the note, have the conversation. Just say thank you. It will go further and mean more than you'll ever know. With that said, THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who made this past weekend successful. It was amazing! Everyone pulled more then their fair share of the work. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
