| Leadership Corner | Maj. BouldenSee people for people. It’s easy to see people for what they can get you rather than seeing people for who they really are. Love for people isn’t everyone’s motivation in ministry, however, ministry itself is a calling rooted in loving people. It’s of utmost importance to continually remind yourself why you are in ministry in the first place: to love those Christ has called you to love. If God has called you to leadership, He didn’t just called you to lead people. He called you to give yourself to people. Check out this article on Seeing People as People and learn more about loving others like Christ. |
| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford This is the last official week of the fall semester for the battalion. It has been a good year and I am grateful for the ways you have contributed to the ALERT ministry by your actions or by your prayers. This Thursday, we will recognize the men’s accomplishments in a combined Awards & Promotions and Graduation ceremony at noon. Fire Academy will have one week of class remaining after this week, taking their Texas state test here on campus. We are anticipating a large battalion for the upcoming quarter as we already have 44 men signed up for 2nd phase and 10 interested in Leadership and Communications.
