| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
When we feel tired and worn out about the work that we are doing, let's remember—if it were easy, then everyone else would find it easy as well, making it difficult to do important work, work that stands out, work that people go out of their way to find. When difficulties arise, take it as good news. Those difficulties may dissuade all the people who aren’t as dedicated as you are. It pays to seek out the hard parts. Keep up the good work gang! Keep looking for the good. Keep holding the line. Keep "Forging" for the kingdom. It's not easy...but it is worth it. |
| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
Things are getting pretty busy for battalion just like they are for the rest of Campus. Tuesday and Wednesday, Fire Academy will be in Elderville, a town South of Longview, using their burn building for live burn training. CST will be very busy both doing landscape and working with Operations on set up. Please pray for all of the battalion that they will have the determination and stamina to continue pursuing growth through the end of the quarter. |
| Basic Training Update | Maj. Boulden
Advancement Day is upon us! 5 days and counting for Unit 63. The men will spend the good part of this week in preparation for the events on Friday. Practicing their rope skills, Drill and Ceremony, and their stage presentation. Thank you for all the prayers and support you have given to the Basic Training Dept. during these long weeks. As we prepare to clean up and shut things down for the winter, please let me know if you come across anything that is in need of our attention.
