| Staff Fall Party Staff and Battalion are invited to the Overby home (7243 White Oak Rd), November 18 at 6:00 pm for a fun time of fellowship, toasty bonfire, and hay rides. Staff Families, please bring your favorite chili and dessert to share. The Kitchen will be providing chili toppings, drinks, and s'mores. Please bring lawn chairs and don't forget to dress comfy and warm!

| Hunting Gun season started Saturday, Nov. 2. Please note that all staff wishing to hunt are required to text Maj. Horsman the day prior to hunting with the stand location and approximate start time in the woods. On campus TPWD deer tags can be picked up anytime from Maj. Horsman. All hikers wanting to go north of the lake, east to the farm ponds, or into Area 13, please wear bright colored clothing in the woods or on the trails. |
| Battalion Update The men will be engaged with the Veterans Banquet this week, extra Color Guard presentations for Veterans day, and continuing with their normal class schedule.
Basic Training: The Unit did very well on their 24 Hour Endurance Hike with every man finishing. Thank you for all your prayers and support. This week the men will be engaged in their on campus Solo Hike on Monday and the Basic Responder Challenge Wednesday through Saturday. Please be aware that the Unit will utilize the majority of the lakefront and campus for this event. |
| Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden Good conversation takes time and energy, but it can be the difference between failure and success. Take some time this week to talk with your team about the following questions: What system or process do you currently have in place that feels clunky and inefficient? What changes are you experiencing and what needs adjusting? Does your team practice safe and candid feedback? |
