| Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler Last Saturday the Battalion completed an 8-hour arm workout with Sergeant Major out at the hangar. At each half hour they did a round of exercises, completing a total of 17 rounds, while watching a movie and eating pizza. It was a good morale boosting event, and the guys really enjoyed it. Classes are continuing this week as usual—EMT is doing clinicals (M, W, and F), Tech Rescue will be doing scenarios on the Big Sandy water tower, and Dive will be off campus two days this week. As the semester winds to a close, please pray for everyone to satisfactorily complete their skills checkoffs and pass their tests. |
| Basic Training Update | Maj. Hawley Thank you for praying for Unit 71 on their Endurance Hike. The men did exceptionally well even though the weather was much warmer than usual for this time of the year. We completed the 56 miles right at the 24-hour mark. This coming week of training is known as Navigational-Medical or Nav-Med week. Over the week, the men will be sent out on different scenarios to be tested on all of the skills they have learned throughout their time in Basic. Please continue to pray that the men would fully recover from the Endurance Hike, for safety throughout the week, and that the men would continue to hone their skills and grow in Christ. |
