| Campus and Home Water Conservation Due to well pump problems and other contributing factors, we are having difficulty maintaining the proper levels of drinking water in our tanks. We are currently working on the solutions and hope to have the problems resolved soon. With the Family Camp coming, it would be helpful if any campus and home water usage could be reduced to conserve water and aid our tank levels throughout the next month until November. Thanks for your help!

| Mayflower Minutes September has two holidays that are important for the Chinese. September 10 is Teacher's Day, which remembers the contribution of teachers over China's long and ancient history.
This last weekend, the Mayflower Group celebrated the mid-autumn Mooncake festival (Sept 29–30). On Saturday, the Tyler Chinese Baptist Church hosted an evangelistic outreach for the Chinese community assisted by the Dallas Chinese Fellowship church members. The Mayflower group attended this wonderful event and enjoyed the banquet and spiritual encouragement.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford The Battalion enjoyed a tactical on Friday night (maybe you heard them). These events allow the men to put their training into practice and test their ability to work together under pressure. The tactical events also keep life exciting and are just plain old fun. This coming week is an on-campus training week for the most part. Noteworthy events include Construction learning roofing this week, Dive taking a trip to Lake Travis for some deep dives, and the Missions class departure for Wayumi this weekend. Things are going well in the battalion, and God is doing much work in the hearts of the men. Please pray for this growth to continue. Pray for endurance for students and leaders alike as the steady demands of the quarter keep on coming. And please pray for good relationships between the leadership and the men as we seek to encourage them and point them toward Jesus.

| Basic Training Update | Capt. Hawley Basic Training is already in week four! "The days are long, but the weeks are short," we like to say. This week the men will continue their training in ropes systems by taking classes in mechanical advantage systems using ropes and pulleys as well as putting their navigational skills to the test with a few short field exercises. They will also be taking their next big step in endurance training with the 12-Hour hike on Friday. Continue to be in prayer for these men as they tackle each obstacle that comes their way.
