Basic Training Update
Basic Training will hit its halfway point this coming week! The days are long but the weeks are short, we like to say. This week the men will continue their training in Ropes systems by taking classes in 9-1 pulley systems and putting their first aid training to the test with a few short field exercises. They will also be taking their next big step in endurance training with the 12-hour hike on Friday. Continue to be in prayer for these men as they tackle each obstacle that comes their way.
Leadership Corner
As we wrap up another crazy week of campus life and move into the last few weeks of the semester, it can be easy to slip into regretting all of the things we didn't get done. Remember... "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Conscience no longer accuses. Judgment now decides for the sinner instead of against him. Memory looks back upon past sins with deep sorrow for the sin, but yet without dreading any penalty to come; for Christ has paid the debt of His people to the last jot and tittle and received the divine receipt. My hope lives not because I am not a sinner, but because I am a sinner for whom Christ died; my trust is not that I am holy, but that being unholy, He is my righteousness. My faith rests not upon what I am or shall be or feel or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me. Hallelujah!" C. H. Spurgeon
