Mayflower Minutes
Last week gave us fond memories of seeing old friends and making new ones! On Thursday, our Family Camp guests were introduced to the Mayflower Group with a song and an overview of their pilgrimage these last several years. Many people were interested to know their story, and it was good to see them mingling with the other camp guests as they participated in different Family Camp activities. They made new friends and welcomed other Chinese families attending Family Camp.
Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
This week, Missions and Tech Rescue are at Good News Boys Home in Indiana with Capt. Vanderford. They are working on re-roofing two buildings and felling many trees. Construction is off-campus doing training for much of this week and will leave Friday for a service and training trip to Maine. The next several weeks will be very full, with at least one unit gone for each of the next several weeks. Please pray that amid the busyness, students and leaders alike will keep their focus on the important things.
Basic Training Update | Capt. Hawley
Unit 69 ventures into its sixth week of training and will participate in its most challenging event so far—the 24-Hour Endurance Hike. Lord willing, the Unit will leave this afternoon for Oklahoma, start the hike early Wednesday, and return by Thursday afternoon. Please pray for the men (and for us in their leadership) that there will be good weather for this event, that everyone will stay healthy and safe, and that we will all finish well.
