Prayer and Fasting | Wednesday, January 10 Please join many who are praying fervently for the restoration and recovery of Major Doug Horsman after his open-heart surgery to replace an infected heart valve. Many people are praying and following the news from the family who are there at the hospital with him. May we all continue to intercede for Major Horsman, Mrs. Penny Ziesemer up at Oak Brook, and the battalion that is back and training for this new quarter.

| Battalion Welcome | Capt. Vanderford Please join the battalion in the Dining Room at 7:00 PM, Friday, January 12 for snacks and games as we kick off the quarter with our first weekly game night. There are 45 men returning for 2nd Phase and eight for L&C this quarter, and I’d love to help them start getting to know the staff and vice versa. We’ll have some games there, but please also bring your favorites to share. See you then!

| Campus Water Usage Due to our wells requiring some maintenance, we ask each person using campus water to be frugal to help reduce our dependence on Pritchett water. Our goal is to conserve water while performing needed maintenance and repair on the individual wells so that we can be completely 100% using our water in the weeks ahead instead of paying the higher rates from Pritchett Water. Thanks for your assistance in lowering our water cost during this time.

| Trash Pick Up Project In an effort to invest in our community as well as honor our responsibilities to the Adopt-a-Highway program, everyone is invited to participate in a trash pick up on Highway 80. This volunteer event will be from 9-11 AM on Saturday, February 3. If you're available, please contact Nate Paine at ext. 2157. Even families with children can help on campus far away from active roadways. Hope you can join us!

| Mayflower Minutes The Mayflower Group rolled off campus on December 29 and officially moved to Midland, TX on December 29. The Chestnut dorm is now very quiet. Please pray for the Mayflower Church as they adjust to their new living situation both in dorms on a ranch in Midland and motel rooms at a ministry called Mission Messiah in Odessa, (which is about 30 minutes away from Midland). We will miss the Mayflower Church and we bless them on their way, as they look to God to provide new jobs, housing, and opportunities of ministry in America.

| Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford Things are up and running full-speed for the Battalion. Leadership training went well Tuesday-Saturday, and the Battalion rolled in on Saturday. Saturday through today are primarily dedicated to orientation and getting settled in. L&C began class this morning, and 2nd Phase will be divided between high angle and sawyer class beginning Tuesday. There is still much for the new responders to learn, but with a solid Battalion leadership team, I have no doubt that they’ll be well-adjusted to battalion life shortly. Please pray for wisdom and strength for each of us in leadership and for God to do His work in the lives of the men.
