Staff Lunches 2022
Staff lunches for this year will be held once a month and in conjunction with our birthday lunch. Our first staff lunch of the year will be this Wednesday, January 12 at 11:55 AM. Please note the time change to begin at 11:55 a.m. for the hymn, praises and prayer requests until 12:15 p.m., and director’s reports from 12:40 p.m. to end.

Most of our special event meals throughout the year will also be available at no cost to our staff. A complete list of these event meals may be viewed here. Meals during Family Conference and Family Camp will remain at half price for the staff.

Besides the monthly staff birthday lunches and listed free event meals of 2022, employees and their dependents are also welcome to enjoy a monthly lunch meal of their choice during their alphabetically assigned monthly slot with the goal of fellowshipping with the battalion. Please RSVP no later than the day before.

For your personal fellowship lunch with the battalion, staff can scan the “Fellowship Card” at the start of the food line. Please record on the clipboard provided your name and number of family members using the card on your lunch date. Please note this will only apply to lunches Monday–Friday. We will also wait to start the Fellowship lunches until Tuesday, February, 1

Battalion Update | Capt. Vanderford
For the next few days, the battalion will be working on getting back in the swing of things in ALERT life, and getting started in their respective classes. We are so grateful for a capable and teachable leadership team God has brought to lead the men this quarter. Please pray that the training this quarter will encourage each man closer in his relationship with Jesus and for wisdom for each of us in leadership as we seek to lead these men. Also, make sure to mark your calendars for our welcome back event this Friday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, January 15, we will organize a home fellowship night for the guys. It would be good to have 5 families to host men. Please contact Capt. Vanderford at 903-769-8063 if you would like to host men.

Leadership Corner | Maj. Boulden
The start of a year brings great potential and possibility—also some turmoil, uncertainty, and fear. "Do I only serve God when I am in good company or when faith is profitable and respectable? If so I am just a hypocrite, and like the withering reed, I will perish when death deprives me of outward joys. The reed cannot grow without water, but the Lord’s plants can and do flourish even when there is a drought. A godly man often grows best when his worldly circumstances are daunting... those who stay close out of love to Himself are His own beloved ones. Lord, let me find my life in You, and not in the shifting sands of this world’s favor or gain." - C. H. Spurgeon
