Subject: Just Eat’s 2024 Food Trends: Why Your Cafe Menu Needs a Vegan Makeover Now

Hi, Friend,

Last week, we were shocked when Just Eat published its trend report; we knew it was important, but we were stunned by the scale of the importance to coffee shop and restaurant menus.

For those who may not know, Just Eat is one of the largest food delivery services in the world. Because of its relationship with many different brands, they are uniquely positioned to see how hospitality businesses are doing and what they sell.

There were two main 'takeaways' from their Food Trends Report 2024; the first was not a shock finding out that people's eating habits are heavily influenced by TikTok and other social media platforms.

What made us stand in our tracks was that 64% of orders on Just Eat are now Vegan or Vegetarian.

You are unlikely to see a menu in your local coffee shop that is more than 20% vegan or vegetarian; many restaurants we visit have only one vegan main course on their menu. This is a massive disconnect between what guests actually want and an enormous opportunity going untapped.

Have another look at your own food menu, and highlight the vegan and vegetarian dishes. If you don't highlight at least half of the items, you will be missing out.

One of the most requested aspects of our coaching and consulting services is menu development, which lets us know how quickly a menu can go stale in guests' eyes. On the other hand, we see how a well-put-together menu can transform a business's performance.

If you feel that your food or drink menu is below par but are scratching your head about how you can improve, speak to us today. Just reply to this email, and we will set up a call.

Make sure to leave money on the table in 2025!

Cheers
