Mitigating the Risks of CMHC MLI Select!

You may have heard the benefits of CMHC MLI Select for purchasing multifamily: "as little as 5% down!", "50-year amortization!", "the building qualifies, not you!" etc. but with any real estate strategy, there are risks too. Once you know them, you can take steps to avoid or lower the risk.

Unfortunately many don't even know what they are, and I want to help with that.

CMHC MLI Select is a commercial financing program for multi-unit (5+) purchases and it has been around for 2 years now. We (Patrick and Zorya) have 3 MLI Select loans and a regular CMHC loan. We've helped others with the process, know the experiences of several more, and are active buyers in the market looking for properties it will work on.
