Our message was made loud and clear: if we want to live in a world with clean air, clean water, and healthy food for all, we need to connect the dots between plastic pollution, fossil fuels and the communities most impacted.

#breakfreefromplastic China, Greenpeace East Asia, and the All-China Environment Federation released a report illuminating China’s generation of plastic packaging during Singles Day Shopping Spree - Asia’s version of Black Friday. In 2018 alone, about 50.7 billion packages were shipped resulting in roughly 817,000 tons of plastic packaging which are all too often ending up in landfills and incinerators!
