Subject: Communities in Bangladesh are speaking up on the impact of plastic production. Will you join them?

Hi ,

We all know that plastic production is toxic but do we really know how much it affects communities around the globe?

The Buriganga River in Bangladesh was once the main source of water for Dhaka residents. According to the Department of Environment, 232 industries currently dump waste into the Buriganga River. In the Old Dhaka area, over 200 factories manufacturing plastic bags produce over 500-700 tonnes of bags per day. And they're not alone—many other communities around the world have similar experiences.

In the Break Free From Plastic Toxic Tours, we take you on an online journey through these frontline communities to learn how they're affected by plastic production.

It doesn't end here. You can take things a step further by hosting your own Toxic Tour for members of your community or networks. It's a great way to start the conversation on why this matters and what you can do about it. And if you need support, let us know!
