Fifth Round of Plastics Treaty Negotiations is Coming Up!

Countries are about to meet for the last and final round of negotiations for the Global Plastics Treaty in Busan, South Korea from 25 November to 1 December 2024.


We need a highly ambitious Global Plastics Treaty to solve plastic pollution that encompasses the full life cycle of plastics, including provisions to address primary plastic polymers (PPP) and plastic production reduction measures, chemicals of concern, just transition and more.

New Report: Plastic Pollution Financing - Challenges and Opportunities

On 13th November, Break Free From Plastic (BFFP) and the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) hosted a panel discussion on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in Asia.
