One of the many intersections between the movements working on the protection of forests and on elimination of plastic pollution is that we work towards the same objective: resource use reduction, protection of the environment, and staying within planetary boundaries.


As the European Union proceeds to revise packaging and packaging waste laws, BFFP is joining hands with Environmental Paper Network and Fern to call for overall resource use reduction, instead of material substitution, during a joint online Day of Action on 12 September! Be it plastic, or paper, we are in the same boat: the EU needs to #MakeThrowAwayGoAway and choose reuse.
