The long-awaited global ban on exporting hazardous waste to developing countries officially became an international law last week! This is monumental as it prohibits the export of hazardous wastes from one country to another. #breakfreefromplastic changemaker Jim Puckett of the Basel Action Network (BAN) says, “The Ban Amendment is the world’s foremost legal landmark for global environmental justice. It boldly legislates against a free-trade in environmental costs and harm.”
