Hey Friend,
I rarely watch T.V. but the other day I was flipping through the channels and it must have been the official "cooking" hour because I came across 3 different cooking shows.
Gordon Ramsay was just letting loose on a chef yelling obscenities and just tearing them a new one.
Then I watched Emeril Lagasse throw down even more garlic into a buttery pasta dish (aw, yeah!)
And then, it hit me harder than I'd like to hit that Gordon Ramsay.
NONE of these chefs are in good shape?!
Seriously, have you ever thought about that?
The whole population watch these shows, download recipes and take advice from people who don’t know the first thing about getting or staying in shape.
Don't get me wrong, their skill levels as chefs are off the charts BUT, wouldn't you want to eat recipes that taste GREAT and are also going to contribute to lean muscle and less fat in the long run?
It's the same idea as when overweight doctors give advice about losing weight and they are overweight themselves.
These chefs don't LIVE the lifestyle that we do.
They don't know what it's like to try and eat a bodybuilding diet, juggle workouts, family and preparing your OWN meals.
I'd prefer taking advice from people that live the same lifestyle I do.
One chef that could BLOW these guys out of the water if it were a competition on developing recipes that got people into the best shape of their lives is, Dave "The Muscle Cook" Ruel.
Now THAT would be an EPIC Top Chef Battle I'd pay to see :-)
The reason I trust and look to Dave for advice:
Dave is a Bodybuilding Champion who has been 220 lbs and shredded to sub 6% body fat levels. |
