Most people try to rely on motivation and will power to get in shape... If they feel motivated to workout and eat right - they will - but if the motivation is not there, they won't. Relying on internal motivation is a losing battle for most, because it's not sustainable. I've found the key to achieving long term fitness and fat loss success is to have a reason for getting in shape that's bigger than you.
Setting a positive example for my son is what drives me to get off my ass and go to the gym - even when I don't feel like it. He's what inspires me to eat healthy and take care of myself because I want to be around to watch him grow up and have kids of his own someday and set a positive example for them.
I don't want my son growing up with a fat out of shape dad and thinking that it's OK to let yourself get fat and out of shape. Everyday I'm striving to become a real life role model of health and fitness for my son. That's what drives me to keep going.
Your kids don't listen to what you say, they see who you are and what you do.
================= Socrates said that:"No
man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training.
It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and
strength of which his body is capable." =================
