When it comes to bodybuilding we are all striving to acheive a mesomorph look, which is basically a lean muscular build. And most people can achieve a lean muscular look if they dedicate enough time and effort in the gym along with following a proper bodybuilding nutrition program.
However, just because someone looks like a "mesomorph", that doesn't mean they are actually a true mesomorph. For example, if a skinny ectomorph bulks up and gains mass they will look bigger and more muscular. But they are still an ectomorph.
On the flip side if you take an overweight endomorph and have them cut bodyfat through diet and training they will look leaner and more muscular. But they are still an endomorph.
