Since I've turned the big 4-0 I've been focusing primarily on doing Total Body Workout Routines. This is what I've been teaching my personal coaching students as well, because total body workout allow you to hit all your major muscle groups frequently - while minimizing aches, pains, and excessive soreness.
Total Body Training is also ideal for those times when you're extra busy and can't make it to the gym as often as you'd like, because with every gym session you'll still work all your muscles without large gaps between workouts.
