Pectus Excavatum is a genetic deformation of the sternum and rib cage that causes a concave or sunken chest appearance. This
condition is usually considered a cosmetic issue, but depending on the
severity, it can place pressure on the heart and lungs and hinder proper
cardiovascular function.
There are medical procedures that can
be done surgically, and in extreme cases of pectus they maybe
required. But minor cases can often be treated with regular chest
exercises.
I just posted up a video showing a simple workout routine that can be done at home to improve a sunken concave chest (i.e. Pectus Excavatum).
And even for people who don't suffer from a "sunken chest" condition, you can still utilize these exercises to help stretch your chest and expand your rib cage to create a bigger fuller looking chest.
