The
process of getting off track, re-committing, and starting your fitness
and nutrition program again never ends - it's always going to be part of
your journey.
Even professional athletes, coaches, and all the
fit people you see on social media have days where they feel too lazy to
get out of bed, skip workouts, cheat on their diet, etc.
The
secret to long term success is not trying to be so strict that you never
screw up or get off track - but rather how fast can you get back on
track after you mess up. If you can quickly correct your actions after a mistake,
then it won't hinder your progress.
A mindset that I'd like for
you to implement into your fitness and nutrition routine is to "Never
Miss Twice"...
I heard of this concept from James Clear's book 'Atomic
Habits' - which I highly recommend you add to your reading list. |

applied to fitness and nutrition it would look go like this;
It's ok to
have 1 cheat meal, but don't let that turn into 2 cheat meals in a
row...
It's ok to skip 1 workout, but don't skip 2 workouts in a row...
Getting
off track once and missing a workout or having a cheat meal is normal
and will happen to everyone at some point.
But when you let it happen
twice in a row you're starting to develop the habit of cheating on your
diet and missing workouts.
Instead, I want you to develop the habit
of starting again ASAP - for your very next meal - or - your very next
workout. The faster you can "Start Again" the faster you'll make
progress towards your goals.
