Hey Friend,

It doesn’t matter how consistent you are during the weekdays, if you're constantly blowing it on the weekends. 5 days of exercise and healthy eating during the week doesn't earn you a Free Ticket to eat and drink whatever you want on the weekend.

Then trying to justify it by telling yourself BS excuses like:

"I'm doing a re-feed"...

"I'm carb loading"...

"I feel over trained and need more energy"...

"If you don't eat enough, you'll go into starvation mode"...

"I don't want to slow down my metabolism"...

etc...

Regardless of the lies and stories you try and tell yourself, Arnold said it best...
If it jiggles, it's fat...

And you don't lose fat by over eating on the weekends...

The best way to stay on track over the weekend is to create a system and a lifestyle approach to eating and exercise that you actually enjoy - EVERYDAY - One that you don't feel the need to escape from on the weekends.



Consuming junk food and alcohol may distract you in the moment, but it will never solve the emptiness you feel inside - nor will it magically speed up your metabolism.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you wanna stop the weekend sabotage and always "Starting Again On Monday"... Follow these tips:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

#1 - stop being so restrictive with your food choices during the weekdays. That's a sure fire way to end up going overboard and binge eating on the weekend.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
#2 - stick to your normal schedule as close as possible. Get up around the same time, go to bed around the same time, and stick to your normal eating schedule.

#3 - plan your meals in advance. Stack the deck in your favour by having healthy food options on hand and ready to go so that you will energized and satisfied without giving into the junk food cravings.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

#4 - if you are gonna go out, set some rules for yourself. Start your meal with a large garden salad as an appetizer (go easy on the salad dressing). Choose to drink water or other zero calorie drinks. If you drink alcohol - consider having a non-alcoholic beer instead - pour it up in a frosty mug and you probably won't even notice the difference.⠀⠀⠀⠀

#5 - let go of the extreme ALL or NOTHING mentality...

You don't have to suffer it out and feel like crap to lose fat and get in shape. When done properly you'll actually feel better eating healthy with structure than you will by just being a pig and eating whatever you want, whenever you want...

Having structure in your life is the path to freedom, trying to live with no structure leads to frustration and failure.

Ponder that last thought and then consider what healthy eating and lifestyle tips you are going to implement this weekend?
