If you're looking for a real world Fat Loss Hack...
This one is about as good as it gets 👍
Imagine being able to create a 385 calories per day deficit in your sleep...
I know it sounds too good to be true, but stick with me - because it's NOT. In fact, this could be hindering your health, fitness, and fat loss progress without you even knowing it.
Researchers at King's College London did a meta analysis that combined results from several sleep studies and found that sleep-deprived people consumed an average a extra 385 calories per day.
The analysis also factored in the individuals' energy expenditure and they found partial sleep deprivation did not have a significant effect on how much energy people expended in the subsequent 24 hours.
Therefore, participants who slept less had a net energy gain of 385 calories per day compared to people who were well rested.
That's a significant difference - and it required zero intentional eating changes.
The researchers also found there was a shift in what sleep deprived people ate. This will probably be no surprise, but the sleep deprived folks ate higher fat and less protein compared to people who were well rested.
After all, if you're staying up late and raiding the fridge for a mid-night snack - you're probably not looking for a garden salad and grilled chicken.
Bottom line, focusing on getting better sleep will help you automatically make better fitness and nutrition decisions. Plus if you're in bed sleeping, you're not up snacking.
