For many guys the ultimate fat loss goal is to get visible six pack abs!
And I can certainly appreciate that, it has been a goal of mine for a long time.
Now in my case, I used to achieve that goal in the short term with extreme low carb cutting diets, eating nothing but boiled chicken and broccoli, along with doing endless hours of cardio.
Yes - extreme low carb cutting "works" in the short term, but it's not sustainable or enjoyable long term...
Sooner or later everyone is going to hit their threshold of how much torture they can withstand before they run out of will power, throw in the towel, quit, and go back to their old unhealthy habits.
That's the reality for over 90% of people who go on a "diet", they end up gaining all the weight back, usually along with a few pounds more than when they started... That's what used to happen to me over and over again.
But these days I take a totally different approach - rather than the ALL or NOTHING extreme approach - I've developed a habit and lifestyle based approach of being "Good Enough, But Good Enough Consistently" over the long term.
I've been able to achieve visible abdominal definition - but more importantly - I've been able to sustain it without feeling like I'm suffering it out on an extreme starvation cutting diet.
