| Hey Friend,
It's your muscle building coach Lee Hayward here with a new Ask Lee Video Q & A for you.
This one covers the "Best Cardio" for burning bodyfat...
-------------------------- Johnny Asks: "Hi
Lee, I was wondering for fat loss which is better - low intensity
longer duration cardio - OR - high intensity shorter duration cardio?
I've heard so many different answers to this, but I want your opinion." --------------------------
The debate over what's the best form of cardio for burning bodyfat has been going on for years. Everyone is going to have their own opinion on what form of cardio is the best for maximum fat loss.
Now if you are familiar with my methods and philosophy's on training and nutrition you know that I don't believe in absolutes. There is more than one way to go about reaching the final outcome.
The current trend in the fitness media these days is to do high intensity cardio workouts (HIT or HIIT). The experts will reason that the more effort that's exerted, the more calories will be burned, and thus more total fat loss.
And they are absolutely right…
But what if your exercise routine consists of more than just cardio?
A lot of people like to perform both weight training AND cardio as part of their exercise routine, and this changes everything. When you combine different forms of exercise (i.e. weight training & cardio) you need to find an ideal balance between the 2 to allow for adequate recovery.
