When it comes to leg training how deep should you squat?
Some personal trainers will tell you to never squat below parallel because they think it's bad for the knees. Yet Olympic lifters and powerlifters will regularly perform ass to the grass (ATG squats) with great mobility in the knees.
It can be down right confusing at times because you're going to hear different opinions depending on who you talk to. But just like there is more than one way to skin a cat, there's more than one way to perform your squats.
(Why would anyone want to skin a cat is beyond me, but that's besides the point...)
Rather than limiting yourself to just Full Squats OR Half Squats...
Re-frame your thinking to doing both Full Squats AND Half Squats... |
