Lee Hayward's Total Fitness Bodybuilding Tips
Hey Friend,

How you approach Pre, During, and Post Workout nutrition will vary depending on the type of exercise you're doing and how long those workouts will last.

For the average weight training gym workout or short endurance workout that lasts for an hour or less... You really don't need any special pre or post workout nutrition strategies because as long as you're eating regular meals throughout the day you'll have adequate glycogen and energy reserves stored in your body to sustain your energy for short efforts.

However, when you get into doing long distance endurance sports (i.e. long distance cycling, hiking, marathon running, etc.) that changes things big time.

When your workouts stretch beyond 2 hours and longer - you can't rely on stored glycogen for energy. This is where proper nutrition, hydration, and electrolyte re-fueling strategies during your workouts become critical to your athletic performance.

In this video I'm going to break down the differences and share my specific strategies for optimizing workout nutrition for keeping my energy, hydration, and electrolytes stable for maximum fitness performance.
