It's the most dreaded day of the week...
And no, I'm not referring to "Monday".
I'm referring to LEG DAY !
Of all the body part workouts you can do, legs are the most challenging, because they are biggest muscles in your body.
The bigger the muscle group, the more effort is required to train it with full intensity.
Just think about it, you can rep out a set of bicep curls without hardly breaking a sweat, but repping out a set of heavy squats is another story entirely.
For most guys, just the thought of training legs is enough to make their gut tense up with anticipation.
That's why a lot of novice lifters end up skipping leg training altogether. Using the flawed logic of:
"I just want a muscular chest, big arms, and ripped abs.
Besides nobody is going to even see my legs anyway."
But the body works doesn't work in isolation, it works as a whole unit. If you truly want a bigger chest and bigger arms, you need to set your focus on getting bigger and
stronger ALL OVER.
When you train the big muscle groups (such as the legs) with compound
exercises, it will stimulate your central nervous system and trigger your
body to produce higher levels of natural hormones such as; testosterone and growth hormone.
This creates an anabolic environment within your body that will not
only build up the legs, but will carry over into all
your other muscle groups as well. Including the "show off" muscles of the chest, arms, and abs.
So to maximize your overall muscular development and get the fastest
results possible, make sure to cover all basis and include LEG DAY as part of your weekly training routine.
