Back in 2020 Mike Brown wasn't happy with his body, health and fitness.
At the time he had already tried many of the mainstream diet plans...
Weight Watchers, Keto, Carnivore, Intermittent Fasting, you name it.
While he did manage to lose some weight, he couldn't get the lean muscular body that he desired.
So after struggling to figure this stuff out on his own, Mike decided seek some outside help and hired a fitness & nutrition coach.
However, his coach at the time was young and naive and told Mike that he was "Too Old" to build muscle.
Now most people would have gotten discouraged after hearing such pessimism from their coach. But not Mike, he wasn't going to buy into some BS story about being "Too Old" and "Beyond Middle Age" so he couldn't build muscle - and he fired his coach!
It's ironic how things work out when you're determined to succeed and are actively looking for a solution.
We scheduled a Strategy Session Coaching Call over zoom and discussed Mike's situation and fitness goals and together we mapped out a realistic action plan to optimize his training and nutrition for gaining lean muscle while losing body fat at the same time (i.e. achieving a body re-composition).
The first step we took was to scrap the high fat / low carb diets that he had been following. Instead of trying to starve the fat off, we focused on fueling his body by filling up with high quality nutrition - which included eating lots of high carb foods!
We then planned out a structured and progressive weight training program to help fill out his frame with lean muscle - supplemented with a moderate amount of cardio to aid with fat burning… And Mike's results speak for themselves!
Now at age 59 Mike Brown is in the best shape of his life and enjoying the process.
