Do you drink coffee, tea, cappuccino, lattes, energy drinks, colas, diet colas... basically, do you drink ANYTHING?! It seems almost all of the
most popular beverages contain caffeine. And, caffeine can be good, when used in
moderation and at the right time...
For instance, there are about a bazillion studies showing that caffeine
intake can have a positive impact on overall metabolic rate and
fat-burning.
But, did you know that caffeine can also have a negative effect
on your fatloss efforts and your waistline? For starters, caffeine
ingestion has been shown in numerous research papers published in
esteemed journals like Diabetes and Diabetes Care to
lower insulin sensitivity and increase blood sugar. This means that
caffeine is best avoided during meals, especially when carbohydrates are
