Just recently my family and I were on a "working vacation" down in Florida. During this trip I had the chance to meet up with several friends and colleagues in the fitness industry...
Guys who have been around the online fitness scene for years, such as: Vince DelMonte, Mike Westerdal and the crew from Critical Bench, Elliott Hulse at his Strength Camp Gym, The Original Muscle Cook - Dave Ruel, Joel Marion owner of BioTrust, Bedros Kullion owner of Fit Body Boot Camp, and a bunch of new up and coming fitness trainers and strength coaches.
It was great to re-connect with these guys and you can look forward to seeing some of the collaboration videos that we shot together very soon!
Now when you're traveling it can be hard to stick to a set schedule with your eating and with your workouts. But one of my "secret weapons" that helps keep me on track is doing bodyweight workouts.
A lot of guys think that you can't build muscle from bodyweight exercises because they are "Too Easy" and nothing could be further from the truth. You can build a very strong, muscular, and athletic physique using bodyweight exercises.
To give you an example, just look at the physiques of gymnasts - they do bodyweight exercises and are ripped and jacked.
A lot of martial artists base their training around bodyweight movements and get incredible results.
And we can't forget about former pro football player - Herschel Walker - who stays in amazing shape in his 50's by doing bodyweight exercises.
The great thing about bodyweight workouts is that you can do them pretty much anywhere, anytime, and get a killer pump in just 30 minutes or less!
