This email announces a very BIG IDEA.
That idea is putting pseudo dimensional models over the top of large operational systems to solve 2 problems.
Problem One
Sending complete and accurate data into AIs for training.
Problem Two
Making it possible to easily query large operational systems using dimensional models.
Given everyone is talking about AI, using the marketing message for problem one will probably get more people interested.
I have been working on this demo all day and I have finally got the blog post finished.
There is more work to do on this solution as we have only done a few fact tables.
When you watch the video you will see why I needed to create the useful tool I mentioned yesterday.
There are over 1,100 dimension table views created so far. It took me 3 days to do the first 200 and the next three days to do the next 900 with the tool.
I think we can improve the view that generates these views to get it almost 100% correct.
I am sure you are going to be as excited as I am by this idea because it applies to any large operational system.
Of course, the views that are created could also be embedded in queries that are sent into the database in any case.
