Two-photon infrared brightness |
Researchers at the International Centre for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) have developed an innovative method for measuring the brightness of two-photon stimuli, which allows the luminance of infrared light to be precisely determined in photometric units (cd/m²), even though these units are defined for visible light. This groundbreaking method opens up new possibilities in ophthalmic diagnostics and in the development of related technologies. (Photo: Karol Karnowski / ICTER) |

Support for 10 companies using photonic integrated circuits |
PhotonHub Europe is a European support network for entrepreneurs introducing photonic technologies into their products or processes. 38 leading technology centres (including 2 from Poland) offer knowledge, training - and above all the opportunity to test, prototype and develop technologies. Thanks to EU funding, technology services are available to companies on attractive terms. PhotonHub also supports startups.
The PhotonHub Scalling Club will launch in 2025: a one-year support programme for 10 selected companies to simultaneously upscale their business and technology solutions based on photonic integrated circuits (TRL 4 and above). The Scalling Club will provide individually tailored support in business development, investment and partner sourcing as well as in co-founding technology development.
Applications from interested companies are being accepted until 29 November only - details on the website, available at the link below |
