Photonics among the best Polish inventors 2022

Polish photonics once again confirms its role in the national innovation ecosystem. The list of the top 10 Polish inventors of 2022, published by My Company magazine, includes the heads of as many as three photonics companies (PPTF members): Noctiluca SA, QNA Technology and VIGO Photonics. Congratulations!

Polish photonics for defence

During the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce, Polish photonics will present its offer for the defence industry. Michał Parniak received the Frank Wilczek Award

The winner of the 2nd edition of the competition was Michał Parniak from the University of Warsaw. He was distinguished for his achievement entitled 'Development of new experimental platforms for quantum research and technology and their use to demonstrate state-of-the-art quantum phenomena and protocols'.

Portable photogrammetry system for large objects

Smarttech3D, a manufacturer of high-resolution 3D scanners, has introduced a portable photogrammetry kit, expanding the range of applications for these devices. Possible applications include quality control of large objects (products or loads) or interior measurements for design purposes.

Photin has installed the third Aix-200 reactor

The Mazovia-based startup producing crystalline substrates and semiconductor devices extended its hardware inventory with another MOVCD reactor, which will be used to produce from GaSb, GaAs and InP materials.

Strength of conformity of results

Three experimental groups and a team of theoreticians, different laboratories, different methods, and the results of their measurements of the intensities of the spectral lines agreed with each other at a promille level. This is the first case of its kind. The team of physicists from the Nicolaus Copernicus University has a large share in this scientific success.
