Subject: Try this simple "Strongman" deadlift setup in the power rack...
The deadlift is one of THE best exercises you can do...it just hits EVERYTHING.
That being said, the straight bar deadlift is a hip extension-focused exercise that requires solid technique (especially as you go heavier) and can put a fair bit of torque on the lower back, which can make it a challenging exercise for some people.
That's where specialized bars like the Trap Bar come into play. They let you stand right in the middle of the weight so the bar doesn't ever contact your legs. The form is much easier to get on this version.
However, if you don't have one of those bars, where does it leave you?
It leaves you with THIS version of the deadlift....the Power Rack Deadlift Machine.
It's very similar in concept to "strongman" deadlifting apparatus but done using just two barbells and a power rack.
(and you get phenomenal grip work from it as well).
