It's sugar...
WAY too much sugar.
If you ever eat health bars, energy bars, nutrient bars, or protein bars, did you know that most of these bars that are supposed to be healthy often have as much (or more!) sugar than a Snickers bar?
For real...
- A Snickers bar contains 20 grams of sugar.
- A Chocolate Chip Clif Bar contains 21 grams of sugar.
- A Cherry Pie LaraBar contains 20 grams of sugar.
- Gatorade’s Whey Protein Bar contains 29 grams of sugar!
These bars are marketed as healthy but in reality are giving you nothing more than a pile of sugar with (if you're lucky) some token protein thrown in.
When it comes to health food bars, I want to introduce you to a brand I just tested out... Paleovalley Superfood Bars.
Each bar contains only 4 grams of natural sugar, derived from dates, and NO sugar alcohols (which many lower-sugar bars use for sweetener).
I tested out a new flavor of bar from them...Lemon Meringue.
It's delicious...and it actually DOES taste very lemony and a little tart. Very pleasant. I like these a lot.
They're also available in Dark Chocolate Chip and Apple Cinnamon (I haven't tried those yet).
The bars contain 10 organic, nutrient-dense superfoods so you’re getting clean energy from nutrients, minerals, and antioxidants… not sugar.
Paleovalley Superfood Bars also contain Grass Fed Bone Broth Protein Powder providing you with 9 grams of protein per bar plus collagen for healthy hair, skin, nails, gut, and more.
Here's the full list of ingredients...
These work great for Paleo diets, as well as low-carb diets.
The carb count on these is low enough (8 grams of net carbs) that it won't put you over your limit and it will still get you a lot of excellent, concentrated nutrition.
It's like taking a "greens" drink or powder in bar form, which is definitely a lot more convenient.
There are definitely worth trying out, especially if you have a hard time getting enough variety in your nutrition.
For a limited time, you can get 10% OFF your single product order of Paleovalley Superfood Bars (or any of their other products) or 30% off your order subscription.
If you order multiple boxes, you can get an even BIGGER discount and they’ll cover shipping too.
The bars last up to a year in the refrigerator so can definitely stock up and save.
Get up to 30% OFF on all Paleovalley products + Free Shipping Today
(FYI, the order section is a little confusing...you CAN order just one box of bars...however, there is a discount if you order 2 or more boxes...the order seciton makes it seem like you can only order 2 or more)
