Subject: The PERFECT leg exercise...(this one is awesome)
This is simply one of THE
single best leg exercises
I've ever used.
Straight up.
It's a variation of the barbell squat that uses two sets of training
bands to pretty much PERFECTLY match the strength curve of
the squat.
You'll use one set of bands to
strategically deload the bottom
range (where the squat is hardest and where you are most limited
in the amount of weight you can use) and another set of bands to
additionally load the top range (where the squat is easiest and you're
MUCH stronger).
In a normal squat, you can only
use as much weight as you can
get past the weakest point...that leaves you working submaximally
for the majority of the movement.
In THIS squat, you're dynamically
changing the resistance through
the ENTIRE movement, forcing you to work at peak levels from
top to bottom.
It's BRUTAL and incredibly
effective.
And I do have to say, even
if you don't have the equipment (a
power rack and 2 sets of training bands), it's worth watching this
video just to learn the methodology behind how the exercise works.
You'll learn a lot about the squat even if you aren't able to
perform the exercise itself.
Watch the
video of Double Band Squats here...
(oh, and be sure sure to subscribe to my channel while
you're
there...I post a lot of cool training and exercise videos there
that don't always make it in the newsletter here)
After watching it, it may even convince
you to get a couple of
sets of training
bands yourself!
