Using direct cable resistance from opposite directions and on a diagonal, you will apply tension unlike any other ab exercise you've EVER tried before, which is exactly why I named it after a medieval torture method! I just did this exercise last night and shot the video for it and my abs are WAY sore already (haven't done this exercise in awhile)...it hits the six-pack (rectus abdominus), the obliques, the transversus...basically just about EVERYTHING in one shot.
