1. Are these exercises good for women, too?

Absolutely. Even though the web page for the book is primarily targeted to men, these exercises are great for women, too!

Muscle doesn't know if it's female or male...the only real differences lie in how much weight you use for the exercises and using the appropriate exercises for training level and goal.

That's it! There are no "exercises for women."

 

2. What equipment will I need for it?

This book is focused on very basic equipment...dumbbells, barbells and a bench. I do have one exercise that requires a towel, but you should be able to dig up one of those (or use an old t-shirt or something).

If your bench is an adjustable one with incline and decline, that'll be very useful as well for several of the exercises, but the majority that use a bench are done with just a simple flat bench.

 

3. How do I use these exercises in a program? Are there workouts included?

You can drop these exercises right into any program at an appropriate place.

For example, if a problem calls for cable crossovers, you've got Lying Side Dumbbell Flyes that also target the peak contraction position of the chest.

If a program calls for a shoulder press, I've got a number of great shoulder press variations in the book that you can sub directly across for presses.

I haven't included workouts in the book because I wanted it to be an exercise guide that you could refer to when you needed some variety or when a program required a specific exercise that you don't have the equipment for.

This book creates that equipment for you, using just dumbbells, barbells and a bench.

4. Do you have videos for all the exercises?

Yep, every exercise has a demo video that you'll have full access to (directly linked to in the book).

You'll know EXACTLY what to do for every single movement...which leads me to the next question.

7. Can I do these exercises in a commerical gym?

For sure. The title of this book has "home gym" in it because I wanted to put together a book using only very basic free weight items that a person might have available at home. Any gym is going to have equipment that will work GREAT for these exercises...and give you a lot more variety in terms of weight selection.

 

8. Are these exercises going to make me look stupid?

 My first thought is "Who cares, you're training at home :)" But if you decide to use these exercises at a regular gym, I will tell you that they ARE going to make you look different...in several ways. You'll look different in that these exercises are not "normal" exercises and you will look different while you're doing them. And you'll look different in that your physique will start looking much better after you starting doing them!
