Got a quick thing for you here...fitness author Jon Benson sent
this out and I thought it was both hilarious and powerful.
"A study in Psychosomatic Medicine has confirmed that people
tend to consume food in order to self-medicate their feelings of
stress or anxiety.
They call it "emotional eating."
Yes, imagine that...glad this study confirmed what millions of
people already know from experience... :)
But this isn't meant to be cute or make light of this
diet-wrecker.
It's the number one reason diet-plans fail...a person is doing
great one day, then the next day something stressful happens and
they immediately turn to food for comfort.
I think you'll like this, too...Jon's got a short story (via
video) about overcoming emotional eating and getting in touch
with a better way to make food work for you... not against
you...it's good stuff.
