Subject: My "homemade" bar for squatting with no power rack...
I've had a TON of people ask me about this bar...(it shows up off to the side in some of my videos).
Let me just say, this bar is really cool...it's made entirely out of plumbing pipe that I got at my local hardware store...and it allows me to squat HEAVY (I've gone to 400+lbs) without using a power rack.
It's essentially a squat bar with built-in stands for "bottom start" squatting without ever having to worry about losing the lift. When done, the bar just stands up on the floor.
If you want to learn more about it (I've included complete specs), click here.
This is some serious "mad scientist" stuff here, just fyi...so if you decide to build one, it's at your own risk!!
Enjoy!
