Subject: Make your own "Butt Blaster" machine...

The Butt Blaster machine is a machine designed to work the glutes with a donkey-kick type of backwards pushing motion.

It's a very effective machine and a very effective movement pattern. If you've been trying to build your glutes, you're probably familiar with it.

So what do you do if you don't have a Butt Blaster machine to use?

I've got exactly what you need. This setup is taken directly from my book "Gluteus to the Maximus - Build a Bigger Butt Now!" that I currently have on sale for 75% off.

You have a couple of options - this is one of them. You can use a dip belt (which is a leather belt with a chain loop that is used for weighted dips and chin-ups), a bench, and a low pulley.

Start by attaching the chains of the belt to the low pulley. Set a bench directly in line with the cable machine. Use a light weight to start until you get a feel for the exercise setup.

Step into the belt and put your HEEL onto the inner surface of it. You want to make sure it's your heel so that the tension of the cable goes through the posterior aspect of your body and it doesn't become a quad exercise. Set your hands on the bench.

Lift your foot up and bend your knee. I'm bracing my arm against the frame of the cable machine to stabilize myself.

Now push the cable and belt back and up, extending your leg and bringing up it up to maximize the hip extension function of the glutes.

Bring your leg down and let the knee bend and repeat.

Once you've done your reps on one leg, move the bench to the other side of the dip belt and switch to the other leg.

This exercise is a great "finishing" move for the glutes, best done after you've done other forms of heavy lifting like variations of squats, lunges or deadlifts.
