Subject: Is it better to lose fat FAST...or slow? (surprising answer)
This could be VERY different than what you've been previously told...
Most trainers teach people to lose 1-2 pounds per week, and stabilize their weight over time, leading to more permanent results. This is what they are taught in school, and what makes logical sense to them.
Slow and steady wins the race, right?
WRONG.
1-2 pounds/week can be effective... but there's a better and more promising way to lose fat.
It's the same basic idea as HIIT (high-intensity interval training). We used to think long-duration, steady-state cardio was the most effective way to lose weight...HIIT has proven itself to generally be a more effective approach.
The same HIIT concept can be applied to an overall program.
If we have 'sprint' periods and 'rest' periods for weight loss, rather than just within an individual workout, we can accelerate results.

I think this approach is awesome. When you do it this way, you can laser focus yourself for a short period of time, then take a more relaxed approach for a short period of time, and actually get BETTER results than you try and stay strict for a long stretch of time.
It's more effective and it's more doable.
